A group of us representing SMK Dato' Onn Butterworth, the champion of 2009 Toyota Eco Youth project, left for Shah Alam on 18th of May 2010. Our group comprises of eight students, two teachers and a principal. Our three days and two nights workshop was held at Concorde, Shah Alam.
We left school at 8.30 a.m. and headed for 6 hours journey to Kuala Lumpur. The coaster ride to Shah Alam was enjoyable. We reached there on time and we met up with otherteam members from various schools.
We were briefed by Cik Norzaireen, TEY secretariat, on our next days programme. We received goodie bags from the organizer.
The next morning after a heavy breakfast, we listened to an environmental talk by Mr. Andrew Sebastian from Malaysian Nature Society.
Later, the programme continued with a workshop on QC Problem Solving Methodology. The workshop was handled by Cik Juliana and her team.
Brainstroming Session
The session comprised of problem solving methodology, quizzes and answer sessions. Our school team won quite a number of prizes.

Hands On Activity
On the last day, we were briefed on how to post reports on our official web for Toyota Eco Youth.
In the afternoon, the launching ceremony was held. Team leaders from participating schools received mock boards from the President of UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd.. Later, our team took photos with representatives from Toyota.
One for the album
Right before we left for Penang, we managed to take a photo capturing moments of enthusiasm.
We were extremely exhausted as we reached Penang around 9.30 p.m.. It was an unforgettable experience and most importantly, the knowledge that we gained. We are lucky to join the Battle of The Eco Champions and we hope to be successful all through the competition.
It's now! Nothing is impossible.
